JB/T 9179.7-2013 was issued by MIIT on 31 December 2013 and has been in force since 1 July 2014.
It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 9179.7-1999.
It is one of 15 parts of the JB/T 9179 series.
2 Scope
This standard is the recommended Chinese machinery industry standard that fixes the machining allowance and the tolerance for cylinder-type steel forgings, stepped cylinders included, made by open-die forging on a hydraulic press. The pieces it covers are those whose final operation is drawing out over a mandrel. What it states is the surplus metal left for the machine shop and the departure allowed on the forged dimension.
