JB/T 9179.6-2013 was issued by MIIT on 31 December 2013 and has been in force since 1 July 2014.
It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 9179.6-1999.
It is one of 15 parts of the JB/T 9179 series.
2 Scope
This standard is a recommended machinery industry standard of China for die-block forgings produced by open-die forging on a hydraulic press, and it gives their machining allowances and tolerances. The blocks concerned are flattened at the axial ends, and the standard reaches blocks whose thickness does not exceed their width. Both the metal left on for machining and the permitted spread on the forged size are fixed there. It belongs to Chinese classification J32 and to international classification 77.140.85. It quotes JB/T 9179.1-2013 and JB/T 9179.2-2013. The 1999 edition, JB/T 9179.6-1999, is replaced by it.
