JB/T 9179.4-2013 is the English-translated version of 液压机上钢质自由锻件机械加工余量与公差 第4部分：圆盘和冲孔类.
JB/T 9179.4-2013 is the recommended Chinese machinery industry standard for disc forgings and punched forgings produced by open-die forging on a hydraulic press, and it fixes their machining allowances and tolerances.

JB/T 9179.4-2013 was issued by MIIT on 31 December 2013 and has been in force since 1 July 2014.
It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 9179.4-1999.
It is one of 15 parts of the JB/T 9179 series.
2 Scope
JB/T 9179.4-2013 is the recommended Chinese machinery industry standard for disc forgings and punched forgings produced by open-die forging on a hydraulic press, and it fixes their machining allowances and tolerances. Discs are treated according to how their height or thickness stands to their diameter, and pieces carrying a punched hole are taken in as well.
