JB/T 1581-2014 was issued by MIIT on 9 July 2014 and has been in force since 1 November 2014.
It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 1581-1996.
2 Scope
JB/T 1581-2014 is a recommended Chinese machinery industry standard giving the ultrasonic testing method for rotor and shaft forgings of steam turbines and turbine generators. It covers the qualification of the testing personnel, the testing equipment, the essential points of the operation and the recording and assessment of the results. It is written for rotor forgings of all sizes together with the spindles that go with them. The standard is applied with GB/T 9445, GB/T 11259, GB/T 12604.1, JB/T 10061 and JB/T 10062. It replaces JB/T 1581-1996, whose method it brings up to date. Issued on 9 July 2014, it has applied since 1 November 2014.
