This standard sets out the technical requirements for the engineering of incineration facilities that dispose of waste from chemical industry projects, including hazardous chemical waste. It covers the design of the incineration works themselves and the related provisions that a chemical waste incineration facility has to satisfy. The standard applies to newly built chemical waste incineration facilities as well as to expansion and renovation work on existing ones. Because it addresses hazardous waste, the standard is read together with the national rules on the identification of hazardous waste and on emissions, which it cites as normative references.
