Scope

GB/T 9359-2016 is the English-translated version of 水文仪器基本环境试验条件及方法.

GB/T 9359-2016 sets the basic environmental tests for hydrological instruments: the test items and their parameters, and the conditions and method for each.

It sorts the instruments into five classes by where they are used - class A indoor, B outdoor, C underwater, D shipborne and E vehicle-mounted - and lays down fourteen basic environmental test items to select from: temperature, humidity, solar radiation, salt spray, water, sand and dust, water immersion, static water pressure, sinusoidal vibration, impact, collision, free fall, tilt and sway, and transport.

The solar radiation and sand and dust tests are new, as is the transport test for large instruments. Laboratories use it to judge how an instrument stands up to its working environment and to transport and storage.

It replaces GB/T 9359-2001, was issued on 14 June 2016 and has applied since 1 January 2017.

Foreword

This standard is drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

This standard replaces GB/T 9359-2001 "Basic environmental test conditions and methods of hydrological instruments", compared with GB/T 9359-2001, In addition to editorial changes, the main technical content changes as follows.

a) increased solar radiation test (see 5.3);

b) increased sand (dust) dust test (see 5.6);

c) Increased transport of large hydrological instruments (see 5.14).

1 Scope

This standard specifies the basic environmental testing of hydrological equipment projects and parameters, conditions and methods.

This standard is suitable for assessing the adaptability of hydrological instruments to the working environment and transportation and storage environment.
