GB/T 5310-2023 is the Chinese national product standard for seamless steel tubes and pipes for high pressure boilers.
It divides them into hot-rolled (extruded, expanded) tubes coded W-H and cold-drawn (rolled) tubes coded W-C, and fixes the order content, the tolerances - random lengths of 4 000 mm to 12 000 mm, and a curvature per metre of not more than 1.5 mm/m when the wall thickness is 15 mm or less - the steel designations and chemical composition and the delivery condition.
Clauses 8 to 11 cover tensile, impact and bending test samples, the test methods, the inspection rules and the packaging, marking and quality certificate. Clause 1 applies it to tubes for boilers and pipelines of high pressure and above.
It replaces GB/T 5310-2017, was issued on 7 September 2023 and has applied since 1 April 2024.
