Foreword

This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1:1-2009: This standard replaces GB 27791-2011 "Urban Gas Surge Box": Compared with GB 27791-2011, the main technical changes are as follows:

---Modified the scope (see Chapter 1, Chapter 1 of the:2011 edition);

---Modified the definition of the term "rated flow" (see 3:3, 3:3 in the:2011 edition);

---Modified the insulation performance (see 6:9, 6:10 in the:2011 edition);

---Modified the non-destructive testing method and ratio (see 7:3:4, 7:3:4 in the:2011 edition);

---Added the disposal method for non-destructive testing unqualified (see 7:3:8);

1 Scope

GB 27791-2020 is the Chinese national standard on city gas pressure regulating installation, in the field of construction materials and building. It carries no /T suffix, which in the Chinese system means compliance is mandatory: a product or a practice within its scope has to meet it to be lawfully made, sold or carried out in China. It was issued on 17 November 2020 by the State Administration for Market Regulation; Standardization Administration of China, and has been in force since 1 December 2021.
