GB/T 45991-2025 is the Chinese national standard covering whether a connected appliance talks to its service platform — the communication quality requirements and the grading into levels, the radiated power and receiver sensitivity taken at a calculated number of sampling points, the wireless methods and the signal strength each needs, NFC in its own annex, and the climatic and electromagnetic conditions the link must hold through, because a kitchen is a poor place for a radio. First edition, under the China National Light Industry Council. In force from 1 February 2026. Issued on 1 August 2025, it has been in force since 1 February 2026.

1 Scope

This document defines the terms related to the communication quality of household and similar electrical appliances (hereinafter referred to as "household appliances") and stipulates the communication quality The requirements and levels are described and the corresponding test methods are described.

This document is applicable to access to the smart home appliance service platform (hereinafter referred to as the "service platform") or the smart home appliance public management unit (hereinafter referred to as "Management Unit"), Household Appliance Control Instructions for single-phase appliances with a rated voltage not exceeding 250V and other appliances with a rated voltage not exceeding 480V Communication quality evaluation.
