GB/T 45918-2025 is the English-translated version of 家具环境意识设计导则.

GB/T 45918-2025 is the Chinese national standard covering designing furniture over the whole life of the piece — the principles and their implementation, the choice of materials and the certified chain of custody behind the timber, the substances to keep out, from formaldehyde and flame retardants to the polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons and the allergenic and carcinogenic dyes listed in the appendices, and the dismantling and recycling that decide what is left when the piece is thrown out. The recycling and disposal annex is normative; the dye and hydrocarbon lists are informative. First edition, under the China National Light Industry Council. In force from 1 January 2026. Issued on 30 June 2025, it has been in force since 1 January 2026.
