GB/T 4094.2-2017Electric Vehicles — Symbols for Controls, Indicators and Tell-tales

Foreword

This part is drafted in accordance with the rules given GB/T 1.1-2009.

This part replaces GB/T 4094.2-2005 “electric vehicle-symbols for controls, indicators and tell-tales”.

Compared with GB/T 4094.2-2005, in addition to editorial changes, the main technical changes of this part are as follows:

--- Add marked instructions and non-marked instructions of symbols for controls, indicators and tell-tales of electric vehicles; (see 4.1, 4.2, 4.3 and 4.4);

--- Add the requirements of supplementing auxiliary information based on the symbols (see 4.5);

--- Add the relevant provisions of symbol amendment (see 4.6);

1 Scope

This part of GB/T 4094 specifies the unique symbols for controls, indicators and tell-tales of electric vehicles and the basic requirements of tell-tales displaying color.

This part applies to electric vehicles.

2 Normative references

The following documents are essential for the application of this document. For dated references, only the dated version applies to this document. For undated references, the latest version (including all amendments) applies to this document.

3 Terms and definitions

Terms and definitions defined in GB 4094, GB/T 4782, GB/T19596 apply to this document.

4 Requirements

4.1 If electric vehicles are equipped with controls, indicators and tell-tales of electric vehicles listed in Table 1, the corresponding symbols shall be marked. Symbols shall be consistent with the provisions of this part. Note: A square border can be added Green ○ Tell-tales of driving power limits Note: The circle in the symbol can be omitted Yellow or ○ ○ Open-controls of vehicle outlet cover Tell-tales of warning of external charging cable connection Red Note: "○" indicates that the corresponding device is equipped with such symbol. 4.2 If electric vehicles are equipped with controls, indicators and tell-tales of electric vehicles listed in Table 2, the corresponding symbols may not be marked. If marked, the symbols shall comply with the provisions of this part. Note 1: "○" indicates that the corresponding device is equipped with the symbol. 4.3 If electric vehicles are equipped with controls, indicators and tell-tales of electric vehicles listed in Table 3, the corresponding symbols can be exempted from marking. 5 Displaying color of tell-tales

Symbols for tell-tales given in this part shall comply with the colors specified in the provisions of this part. […]

6 Shape of symbols

The shape of symbols that are only used for controls, indicators and tell-tales of electric vehicles is shown in Figure 1 ~ Figure 12.

7 Application method of symbols

Application method of color and location of symbols shall be consistent with the provisions of GB 4094.
