Scope
GB/T 40811-2021 is the English-translated version of 集装箱运输电子数据交换 订舱报文.
GB/T 40811-2021 defines the booking message that shippers and freight forwarders send to shipping companies and NVOCCs when they book container transport through electronic data interchange.
It sets the basic rules for the exchange: who sends and who receives the message, when it is sent and when it has to be sent again because its content has changed.
It then gives the XML message format, with the overall structure - header, booking information, contacts, cargo and container data, transport data, other information and tail record - and the message content, followed by the platform file format with its attributes, file structure and record descriptions.
Container, country, port, currency, package, freight charge and route codes come from the referenced standards. It was issued on 11 October 2021 and has applied since 1 May 2022.
