Foreword

This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1:1-2020 "Guidelines for Standardization Work Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules for Standardization Documents" drafting: This document replaces GB/T 11601-2000 "Requirements for Inspection and Handover of Container Entry and Exit Stations": Compared with GB/T 11601-2000, except Apart from structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows:

a) Change the term "inspection" to "container inspection", and "handover" to "container handover" (see 3:2, 3:3, 3:2,:2000 version 3:3);

b) The regulations on external inspection items such as the surface of the box body, box seal, and cleanliness have been changed (see 4:2, 4:1 of the:2000 edition);

c) The inspection item requirements for closed ventilated containers and insulated containers have been deleted (see 4:3 of the:2000 edition);

d) Added inspection items for refrigerated containers (see 4:4);

e) Change "gross weight" to "gross weight" (see 6:1:2, 6:1:2 of the:2000 edition);

1 Scope

GB/T 11601-2023 is the Chinese national standard on the requirement for inspection and exchange of container of port and station for in or out, in the field of packaging and distribution of goods. The /T suffix marks it as a recommended standard: it is not compulsory by itself, but it becomes binding as soon as a contract, a tender or a customer specification calls it up - which in practice is how most foreign buyers meet it. It was issued on 17 March 2023 by the State Administration for Market Regulation; Standardization Administration of China, and has been in force since 1 July 2023.
