Scope

GB/T 40438-2021 is the English-translated version of 热泵型新风环境控制一体机.

GB/T 40438-2021 covers the heat pump fresh air environmental control unit, an integrated machine that uses an electric motor-driven compression heat pump as its source of cooling and heating and combines cooling, heating, fresh air supply, fresh air heat recovery and air purification in its indoor unit.

It gives the terms and definitions, classification and marking, general requirements and performance requirements for these units, together with the test methods, the inspection rules and the rules for marking, packaging, transport and storage.

Normative annexes describe how to test cooling and heating capacity, power consumption and reheat dehumidification, and how to test the monitoring function. Manufacturers and testing laboratories apply it when evaluating these units. It was issued on 20 August 2021 and has applied since 1 March 2022.

1 Scope

3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions defined in GB/T 16803 apply to this document.

3.1 Heat pump type fresh air environmental control integrated machine

With a heat pump as a cold and heat source device, the indoor unit has cooling, heating, fresh air supply, fresh air heat recovery and air purification mechatronics processing functions. The unit can effectively control the indoor temperature and humidity, fresh air volume, and air quality through the operation of the controller.

3.2 Fresh air; OA

Outdoor air entering from the fresh air outlet.

The air sent from the air outlet.
