GB/T 40222-2021 is the English-translated version of 智能水电厂技术导则.

GB/T 40222-2021 is a Chinese technical guide for smart hydropower plants.

It sets the basic requirements and then the technical requirements for the main areas of a smart plant: on-site equipment, generating operation, reservoir operation and dispatching, inspection and maintenance, and safety management, including network and information security for the control systems.

A normative annex classifies smart hydropower plants into levels, and an informative annex describes the system architecture of such a plant. It refers to the related standards on integrated management and control platforms, flood control command systems and the public information model of smart hydropower plants.

Plant owners, designers and suppliers of monitoring and control systems use it when planning or upgrading a plant. It was issued on 21 May 2021 and has applied since 1 December 2021.

This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

1 Scope

This standard specifies the technical requirements for on-site equipment, power generation operation, reservoir dispatching, overhaul and maintenance, and safety management of smart hydropower plants.

This standard applies to smart hydropower plants.
