Scope

GB/T 40134-2021 is the English-translated version of 航天系统电磁兼容性要求.

GB/T 40134-2021 sets the electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) requirements for space systems, from the complete system down to subsystems and equipment, together with the requirements for verifying and evaluating them.

It applies to spacecraft such as satellites, space stations and deep space probes, to launch vehicles and to their ground and on-orbit support systems.

At system level it deals with EMI safety margins, the external electromagnetic environment, passive intermodulation, micro discharge, power quality and bus transients, lightning, static control, electromagnetic pulse, magnetic field and magnetic moment, radiation hazards to personnel, fuel and electro-explosive devices, grounding and bonding, and spectrum compatibility.

For subsystems and equipment it lists conducted and radiated emission and susceptibility requirements over defined frequency ranges, and a final chapter covers EMC test verification and assessment. It was issued on 21 May 2021 and has applied since 1 December 2021.
