3 Terms and Definitions

The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 32455, GB/T 40134-2021 and GB/T 42432-2023, as well as the following terms and definitions, apply to this standard.

3.1 Sea launch environment

The environment in which a carrier rocket relies during its sea launch mission, including transit, sea testing, and sea launch.

Note 1. The mission mainly considers the airspace environment, meteorological environment, hydrological environment, and launch platform/launch ship environment.

Note 2. The sea launch environment does not include the flight area, sub-stage and fairing separation debris landing area.

The airspace environment in a sea-based launch environment is a crucial condition for ensuring the successful launch of a launch vehicle at sea. Unless otherwise specified for the specific launch vehicle model... The airspace environment requirements are as follows.

Air wind, including wind speed, wind direction, atmospheric density, wind shear, etc.

(b) Ensure that there are no mission-permitted areas within a 3 km radius of the launch platform/launch vehicle from 10 hours prior to launch to 1 hour after launch. Foreign drones or other low-altitude flying objects.

c) Ensure that there is no civilian activity within a 10 km radius of the launch platform/launch vehicle from 10 hours before launch to 1 hour after launch. Aircraft.

4 Airspace Environmental Requirements

a) The airspace environmental parameters should meet the release requirements of the corresponding launch vehicle. It is advisable to obtain airspace environmental parameters from 150 m to 30 km above the launch site before launch.
