2.1 Common Terminology

2.1.1 Sports surface

Surface layer with movement function and movement protection function that directly withstands various physical and chemical effects.

2.1.2 Point-elasticsportssurface

A moving surface layer (2.1.1) with limited bending deformation near or at the point of impact when subjected to an impact force.

2.1.3 Area-elasticsportssurface

When the impact force is applied, there is a large area of generally curved and deformed moving surface layer around the point of impact (2.1.1).

2.1.4 Combination-elasticsportssurface

The upper layer of the surface elastic motion surface layer (2.1.3) is attached with a bit elastic motion surface layer (2.1.2). When the surface layer is impacted, it is at the point of impact and its surroundings.

Bending deformation can occur in a wide range.

2.1.5 Mixed-elasticsportssurface

Point elastic motion surface layer (2.1.2) with the function of surface elastic motion surface layer (2.1.3).

2.1.6 Structural layer

A structural component that supports the movement surface layer (2.1.1) and has a bearing function.

2.1.7 Building structure

The base layer of the building below the structural layer (2.1.6).

2.1.8 Sports surface system

It is a complex with sports function and sports protection function composed of sports surface layer (2.1.1) and structure layer (2.1.6).
