The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1 Turf area turf
An area with natural or artificial grass.
3.2 clayarea; skinnedarea
Areas where natural or processed soil is laid.
3.3 infield
The area within the grass line and the sideline.
Note. Baseball and softball fields use grass lines to distinguish the infield and outfield.
