1 Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, symbols and codes, characteristics, normal use, installation and transportation conditions, and structure of marine low-voltage electrical appliances.

And performance requirements, testing, classification, marking, installation and packaging.

This standard is applicable to marine low-voltage electrical appliances (hereinafter referred to as electrical appliances) with rated voltage of 1000V AC or DC 1500V and below.

Including ships and mobile, fixed offshore control appliances and distribution appliances.
