NB/T 31095-2016 is the English-translated version of 风电电气设备安全通用要求.
NB/T 31095-2016 lays down the general safety requirements for the electrical equipment of wind power installations, as a recommended standard of the Chinese energy industry.
It covers equipment rated at 1000 V and below in alternating current and below 1500 V in direct current, and applies to the design, the manufacture and the use of that equipment.
The standard serves three roles: it frames the safety content of the various product standards for wind power equipment, it allows a first judgement of the safety level of products that have no safety standard of their own, and it acts as the technical reference for design, manufacture and use.
Its safety provisions draw on GB 5226.1-2008, GB 4208, GB 14048.1-2012, GB 16895.21-2011 and the GB/T 17626 series. Issued on 7 January 2016, it has applied since 1 June 2016.

2 Scope
