1 Foreword

JB/T 9614-2010 was issued by Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China on 11 February 2010 and has been in force since 1 July 2010.

It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 9614-1999.

2 Scope

This standard is a recommended Chinese machinery industry standard for the LW95 series of change-over switches used in ships. It gives the definitions, the classification, the characteristics, the structural requirements and the tests, and applies to the design, manufacture and testing of LW95 switches mounted on vessels. These switches serve electrical control circuits such as electromagnetic coils, electrical measuring instruments and servo motors, at alternating voltage up to 500 V, 50 Hz or 60 Hz, and at direct voltage up to 440 V; they may also directly control three-phase squirrel-cage induction motors at AC 380 V and 5.5 kW for starting, reversing and multi-speed switching. It supersedes JB/T 9614-1999 and carries classifications K31 and 29.120.40.
