JB/T 5800-2014 is the English-translated version of Y-H系列(IP23)船用三相异步电动机技术条件(机座号160～315).
JB/T 5800-2014 is the recommended Chinese machinery industry standard for the Y-H series of IP23 three-phase asynchronous motors used on ships, in frame sizes 160 to 315.
It specifies the technical requirements for these marine motors and the test methods and inspection rules used to verify them, together with marking, packaging, transport and storage.

1 Foreword
JB/T 5800-2014 was issued by MIIT on 6 May 2014 and has been in force since 1 October 2014.
It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 5800-2002, JB/T 5800-1991.
2 Scope
This standard is the recommended Chinese machinery industry standard for the Y-H series of IP23 three-phase asynchronous motors used on ships, in frame sizes 160 to 315. It specifies the technical requirements for these marine motors and the test methods and inspection rules used to verify them, together with marking, packaging, transport and storage. The machines concerned are those driving shipboard equipment such as pumps.
