Scope
GB/T 37244-2018 is the English-translated version of 质子交换膜燃料电池汽车用燃料 氢气.
GB/T 37244-2018 sets the quality of the hydrogen used as fuel in vehicles powered by proton exchange membrane fuel cells.
It defines the terms used, fixes hydrogen purity and the limits on impurities in the fuel, and gives the analytical and test methods: sampling of gaseous, liquid and pipeline hydrogen, purity by subtraction, and the determination of water, helium, ammonia, particulate matter, total sulfur, formic acid and total halides, the last by the method in normative Annex A. Where results disagree, the referenced GB/T or ASTM methods serve as arbitration methods.
It applies to fuel hydrogen for vehicles with perfluorosulfonic acid membranes, and concerns hydrogen suppliers and the laboratories that test the fuel. It was issued on 28 December 2018 and has applied since 1 July 2019.
