Scope
GB/T 37135-2018 is the English-translated version of 绝缘机箱的安全要求.
GB/T 37135-2018 sets the safety requirements for insulated chassis, the insulating enclosures that house electrical equipment. It covers the installation method and dimensional specifications, environmental adaptability with climatic, biological, chemical, mechanical and vibration and shock tests, and the surface of the enclosure.
The insulation clauses deal with clearances, creepage distances, insulation resistance, leakage current, tracking resistance, impulse and power-frequency withstand voltage, temperature rise and the glow-wire test.
It then fixes electrical performance, including conductor continuity, loop resistance, ratings and terminals, as well as earthing, mechanical properties under impact, collision, free fall and vibration, the enclosure protection (IP) class, rating and marking information, the user manual and the inspection rules. It was issued on 28 December 2018 and has applied since 1 July 2019.
