GB/T 45655-2025 is the Chinese national standard covering a switchgear cabinet 375 mm to 500 mm wide built on the modular pitch — the metric and imperial structures and the coordination dimensions that let equipment from different suppliers meet, the verification samples and the simulated load they carry, the protective circuit continuity and the earthing terminal, the damp heat and industrial atmosphere, the stiffness, vibration and impact, the ingress protection and flammability, and the seismic test. A cabinet of relay protection equipment has to stay upright and keep its door shut through an earthquake, and the seismic method in the annex is what decides that. First edition, in force from 1 November 2025. Issued on 25 April 2025, it has been in force since 1 November 2025.

1 Scope
This document specifies the dimensions, verification samples, and test conditions of modular electrical cabinets (hereinafter referred to as cabinets) with a width of 375mm~500mm.
Conditions and sequence, requirements, tests and qualification determination, and inspection rules.
This document applies to the production, manufacturing and acceptance of cabinets.
Note. The technical requirements indicated in this document do not cover all cabinet requirements. Manufacturers and users should note that there may be some extension requirements when applying cabinet products.
If the design may affect the safety performance of the product, if there is a risk, the manufacturer and the user should have an appropriate agreement and agree on the risk-bearing responsibility.
