Scope
GB/T 36242-2018 is the English-translated version of 燃气流量计体积修正仪.
GB/T 36242-2018 is the Chinese standard for volume conversion devices fitted to gas meters, which convert the measured gas volume using temperature (T), temperature and pressure (PT) or temperature, pressure and compression factor (PTZ).
It applies to devices powered by DC supply or battery.
It gives terms, definitions and symbols, classification and measurement principles, and technical requirements such as rated working conditions, metrological performance and maximum permissible errors, structure, indicating devices, alarm functions, influence quantities, electromagnetic compatibility, overload pressure, durability, enclosure protection and explosion protection.
It also sets the test methods, factory and type inspection, marking and accompanying documents, and packaging, transport and storage, with an annex on calculating the gas compression factor using the Redlich-Kwong equation. It was issued on 7 June 2018 and has applied since 1 January 2019.
