Scope

GB/T 35604-2025 is the English-translated version of 绿色产品评价 建筑玻璃.

GB/T 35604-2025 is the Chinese national standard covering whether a pane of architectural glass counts as a green product — the resource, energy, environmental and quality attributes and the low carbon attribute added in this revision, the indices set for flat, tempered, laminated and insulating glass down to the dew point and the deviation in visible light transmittance, the relative energy saving rate against 3 mm ordinary flat glass, and the carbon footprint report behind the claim. It replaces GB/T 35604-2017, under the China Building Materials Federation. In force from 1 November 2025. Issued on 25 April 2025, it has been in force since 1 November 2025, replacing GB/T 35604-2017.

Foreword

This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for standardization work Part 1: Structure and drafting rules for standardization documents" Drafting.

This document replaces GB/T 35604-2017 "Green Product Evaluation of Architectural Glass". Compared with GB/T 35604-2017, except for the structural In addition to adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.

a) Added the term and definition of “relative heat gain” (see 3.2);

b) Changed the relevant provisions in the “Basic Requirements” (see 4.1, 4.1 of the 2017 edition);

c) Added “low carbon attribute” to the first-level indicator (see 4.2);

d) Added evaluation index requirements for "green benchmark products" and "flat glass" (see Table 1);

e) Deleted the evaluation index requirements of "recyclable material utilization rate of packaging materials" and "3A molecular sieve" in resource attributes (see 2017 edition Tables 1 to 3 and Appendix B) of the 2016 Solid Waste Recovery Rate Evaluation Index (see Table 1);

f) Added the evaluation index requirements for "emission limits of air pollutants" (see Table 1);

g) Added evaluation index requirements for “heat resistance” and “radiation resistance” of laminated glass (see Table 1);

h) Deleted the “baking test” for laminated glass and the evaluation index requirements for “surface stress” of tempered glass (see Table 1~2017 edition). Table 2, Appendix D);

i) Added evaluation index requirements such as "dew point" and "visible light transmittance deviation" for insulating glass (see Table 1);

j) Changed the evaluation index requirements for “resource attributes”, “energy attributes”, “environmental attributes” and “quality attributes” (see Table 1, Appendix A, 2017 Tables 1 to 3, Appendix A, and Appendix B of the version);

k) Added "encouraging requirements" (see 4.3);

l) The “Evaluation Method” has been changed (see Chapter 5, Chapter 5 of the 2017 Edition);

m) The standard environmental conditions in Appendix B have been changed (see Table B.1, Table E.1 of the 2017 edition);

n) The light and heat performance requirements of insulating glass have been changed (see Appendix D and Appendix F of the 2017 edition).
