Scope
GB/T 33538-2017 is the English-translated version of 海岛及滨海型城市旅游设施基本要求.
GB/T 33538-2017 sets out the basic requirements for the tourism facilities of Chinese island cities and coastal cities.
It gives the terms and definitions used, the general requirements, the requirements for the facilities themselves and the rules for keeping them maintained, and it defines coastal tourism as holiday travel whose main setting is the sea, the coast, the beach, the isolation zone and the coastal land.
It applies to the tourism facilities of coastal and island cities. Clause 2 cites GB 2894 on safety signs, GB 5749 on drinking water, GB 8408 on amusement facility safety, GB/T 10001 on public information graphic symbols, GB/T 25895 on water safety signs and beach flags and GB/T 26354 on tourist information centres. It was issued on 28 February 2017 and has applied since 1 September 2017.

This standard is drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
1 Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions of basic requirements for island and coastal city tourism facilities, general requirements, travel facility requirements, travel Facility maintenance.
This standard applies to coastal tourism facilities with coastal and coastal cities.

3 Terms and definitions
The following definitions and definitions as defined in GB/T 16766 apply to this document.
3.1 Coastal tourism
To the sea, the coast, the beach, the isolation zone and the coastal land as the main place, with sightseeing, leisure, entertainment and other main purpose of the holiday tourism.
4 General requirements
4.1 should be a perfect coastal tourism supporting infrastructure, with the island or city characteristics, traditional culture match, configuration is reasonable, for tourists
