Scope
GB/T 32125-2021 is the English-translated version of 工业废盐酸的处理处置规范.
GB/T 32125-2021 fixes how the waste hydrochloric acid of an industrial process is treated and disposed of. It sets the basic requirements on the waste acid, the choice of the treatment and disposal route and the control of the products obtained, and the choice of the purification methods and the environmental protection that goes with them.
It applies to the treatment and disposal of industrial waste hydrochloric acid, the stream left by pickling and etching lines. Plants that produce the acid, treatment firms and environmental authorities use it.
It replaces GB/T 32125-2015, was issued on 20 August 2021 and has applied since 1 March 2022.

Foreword
This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for Standardization Work Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents" Drafting.
This document replaces GB/T 32125-2015 "Industrial Waste Hydrochloric Acid Treatment and Disposal Specifications", compared with GB/T 32125-2015, except for In addition to structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.
---Added the "Basic Requirements" chapter (see Chapter 4);
---Deleted the content of the process flow chart, process and control, and main equipment in the treatment and disposal method of waste hydrochloric acid (see the 2015 edition) Chapter 3);
---Added evaporation crystallization method, sulfuric acid replacement method, and roasting method (see Table 1);
---Added a chapter "Purification Method Selection" (see Chapter 6);
--- Added a chapter "Environmental Protection" (see Chapter 7);
--- Deleted "Security" (see Chapter 4 of the 2015 edition).
1 Scope
This document specifies the basic requirements of industrial waste hydrochloric acid, the choice of treatment and disposal methods and product control, the choice of purification methods and environmental protection.
This document is applicable to the treatment and disposal of industrial waste hydrochloric acid.

3 Terms and definitions

4 Basic requirements
4.1 Site and facility requirements
4.1.1 The site selection and construction of waste hydrochloric acid treatment and disposal sites should meet the requirements of GB 50016 and related standards.
4.1.2 The main facility shall include functional areas such as waste hydrochloric acid receiving and storage area, production area, subsidiary functional area, office management area and so on.
4.1.3 The receiving storage area should be equipped with receiving pumps, sampling points, storage, pretreatment and other facilities.
4.1.4 The production area should include facilities such as treatment and disposal, secondary pollution prevention and control.
4.1.5 The sites and facilities in the receiving storage area and production area should be leak-proof, anti-permeable, and anti-corrosion.
4.1.6 Auxiliary functional areas include water supply, power supply, fire fighting and other facilities.
4.2 Equipment requirements
4.2.1 The treatment and disposal equipment, acid storage equipment and accessories should be made of temperature-resistant and corrosion-resistant materials.
