Scope

GB/T 29374-2022 is the English-translated version of 粮油储藏 谷物冷却机应用技术规程.

GB/T 29374-2022 tells grain depots how to use a grain chiller to keep stored grain cold.

It gives the configuration requirements for the chiller and its operators, and the operating procedures for chilled ventilation: the preparations beforehand, the management while the chiller runs and once it stops, and the conditions for starting and ending a run.

It also covers the low-temperature storage operation record, the relative humidity set at the chiller air outlet, the assessment of unit energy consumption and the unit cost of lowering grain temperature.

It applies to vertical chilled ventilation of room-type, shallow round and vertical silos holding raw grain, oilseeds and non-powdered finished grain, and to horizontal chilled ventilation of room-type warehouses spanning 24 m or less.

It replaces GB/T 29374-2012, was issued on 30 December 2022 and has applied since 1 July 2023.

Foreword

This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for Standardization Work Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules for Standardization Documents" drafting.

This document replaces GB/T 29374-2012 "Technical Regulations for the Application of Grain Coolers for Grain and Oil Storage", and GB/T 29374-2012 In comparison, except for structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.

--- Changed the configuration requirements related to the horizontal valley cooling ventilation (see 4.1.1, 4.1.2, 4.1.1, 4.1.2, 4.1.3 of the 2012 edition);

--- Added the requirements for the warehouse when the horizontal valley cooling ventilation is used (see 4.2.2, 4.2.4);

--- Increased operating conditions for horizontal valley cooling ventilation (see 4.3.2.5, 4.3.3.2);

--- Increased valley cold ventilation operating procedures (see Chapter 6);

--- Changed the speed requirement when the grain cooler moves (see 7.1.1.1, 6.1.1.1 of the 2012 edition);

--- Added other preparations related to horizontal valley cooling ventilation (see 7.2.3, 7.2.5, 7.2.6, 7.2.7);

--- Increased the connection requirements of the split grain cooler and the ventilation system (see 7.3.2, 7.3.3, 7.3.5);

--- Changed the cooling ventilation parameters (see 7.4.3, 7.4.4, 6.1.3.3, 6.1.3.4 of the 2012 edition);

--- Added cross ventilation cooling ventilation parameters and other related requirements (see 7.4.5, 7.4.7);

--- Added instructions for operation and management during valley cold ventilation (see 7.5.1.2, 7.5.1.3, 7.5.1.5, 7.5.3.1, 7.5.3.4, 7.5.3.5);

---Changed the grain cooler low-temperature grain storage operation card (see Appendix E, Appendix E of the 2012 edition).

1 Scope

This document specifies the configuration requirements for the application of grain coolers and the requirements for equipment operators, and establishes the operating procedures for grain cooler ventilation.

It stipulates the preparation before the valley cold ventilation, the operation and management during the ventilation period, the management after the ventilation is over, and other operation instructions, as well as the start of the valley cold ventilation. and the end conditions, describe the low-temperature grain storage operation record of the grain cooler, the setting of the air relative humidity at the air outlet of the grain cooler, the grain cold ventilation Corresponding verification methods such as unit energy consumption assessment of wind and unit cost calculation of reducing grain temperature.

This document is applicable to the vertical grain cooling and ventilation of room-type silos, shallow round silos and vertical silos for storing various raw grains, oil crops and non-powder finished grains, and horizontal valley cooling ventilation for room-type warehouses with a span of 24m or less.

3 Terms and Definitions

The following terms and definitions defined in GB/T 29890 apply to this document.

3.1 Grain cooler grainchiler

It is a special mechanical equipment that can reduce the temperature of the air and input it into the grain pile to reduce the temperature of the grain.

Note: It mainly includes refrigeration system, air supply and purification device, temperature and humidity adjustment device.

3.2 Unit energy consumption of grain cooling ventilation

During the operation of the grain cooler, the average temperature of each ton of grain is reduced by 1°C in electricity consumption.

Note: The unit is kilowatt-hour per ton Celsius [kW·h/(t·°C)].

3.3 Valley cold ventilation

Cooling and ventilating grain piles by using a grain cooler.

Note: Including vertical valley cooling ventilation and horizontal valley cooling ventilation.

3.4 Vertical valley cold ventilation

After the outside air is cooled by the grain cooler, the air with a certain temperature and humidity is obtained, which passes through the grain pile vertically and exchanges heat with the grain pile to achieve
