Scope

GB/T 24134-2026 is the English-translated version of 橡胶和塑料软管 静态条件下耐臭氧性能的评价.

Assessment of ozone resistance under static conditions for rubber and plastics hoses is the subject of this recommended national standard. Ozone in the air can crack stretched rubber, so hose makers and users evaluate how well a material withstands it. It adopts an international standard.

Hose manufacturers, rubber compounders, automotive and industrial hose users, and test laboratories will use it when comparing products or checking quality. It replaces GB/T 24134-2009, so specifications that cite the earlier edition should be updated.

As a GB/T document it is recommended rather than mandatory in China, but customers frequently make it part of a purchase specification so that ozone performance is evaluated in a uniform way. It was issued on 30 July 2026 under the responsibility of the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation and takes effect on 1 February 2027.
