Foreword

This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part

1.Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents". Drafting. This document replaces GB 6969-2005 "Fire-fighting Suction Hose". Compared with GB 6969-2005, the main differences are structural adjustments and editorial changes. In addition, the main technological changes are as follows:

a) A new chapter on "Terms and Definitions" has been added (see Chapter 3);

b) A new chapter on "Classification and Models" has been added (see Chapter 4);

c) Increased structural and material requirements for plastic suction pipes (see 5.1);

d) The appearance quality requirements have been changed (see 5.2,

4.11 of the.2005 version);

e) The requirements for the inner diameter of the suction pipe have been changed (see 5.3,

4.1 in the.2005 edition);

f) The requirements for the length of the suction pipe have been changed (see 5.4,

4.1 of the.2005 edition);

g) Interface performance requirements and inspection methods have been added (see

h) The mass requirement per unit length has been changed (see 5.6,

4.2 of the.2005 edition);
