GB/T 23641-2018Fiber reinforced unsaturated polyester moulding compounds (SMC and BMC) for electrical purposes (English PDF)

Foreword

This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

This standard replaces GB/T 23641-2009 "Electrical Fiber Reinforced Unsaturated Polyester Molding Compound (SMC/BMC)". This standard and Compared with GB/T 23641-2009, the main technical changes except editorial changes are as follows.

--- Added abbreviations (see Chapter 4);

--- Modified the classification naming (see Chapter 5, Chapter 4 of the 2009 edition);

--- Adjust the contents of the SMC and BMC performance requirements table according to the modified classification naming method, fiber content, flame retardant characteristics, etc. The product model is adjusted from 16 SMCs and 10 BMCs to 13 SMCs and 10 BMCs. For comparison of models, see Appendix B for information. (See Chapter 6, Chapter 5 of the 2009 edition);

--- Removed the electrical tracking resistance indicators of multiple models in the performance requirements (see Chapter 6, Chapter 5 of the 2009 edition);

---Modified the process conditions of compression molding (see Chapter 7, Chapter 6 of the 2009 edition);

--- Modified the method standard for determining compressive elastic modulus and compressive strength, linear thermal expansion coefficient (see Chapter 7, 2009 edition Chapter 7);

--- Added the requirement for the drafting of 300mm × 300mm pressed molding plate for the standard test of mechanical properties. (see Chapter 7);

--- Include the preparation of the sample in the test method (see Chapter 7.1 of the 7.1, 2009 edition);

--- The inspection rules are specified as separate chapters (see Chapter 8, 8.1 of the 2009 edition).

1 Scope

This standard specifies the classification and naming of electrical fiber reinforced unsaturated polyester sheet molding compound (SMC) and block molding compound (BMC). Requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking, transportation and storage.

This standard applies to electrical products made of glass fiber as a reinforcing material based on unsaturated polyester resin and epoxy vinyl ester resin. Fiber reinforced sheet molding compound (SMC) and block molding compound (BMC).
