Identify the plastic composition used in the product and component for reference by producers, consumers, recyclers, and processors.
5.2 Object of marking
Plastic parts which have a mass of not less than 25 g or a maximum surface area of not less than (5 x 10) mm² should all be marked.
5.3 Requirements of marking
The abbreviation code of plastic composition is executed in accordance with GB/T 1844.1, GB/T 1844.2, GB/T 1844.3, GB/T 1844.4. The marking requirements of plastic components are in accordance with GB/T 16288.
The recovery plastic components may use the marking pattern which combines the graphics and the plastic composition codes, the example is as shown in Figure 3.
Note: > PP + PET < indicates the composition of plastics
5.4 Location of marking
5.4.1 Provide marking at the location of the component which is easy to view after separated and disassembled, for example, the surface of the component, the convex part where the unevenness changes greatly, try to avoid marking in the concave part that is difficult to view.
