1 Scope

GB/T 46494-2025 is the Chinese national standard covering how much of a blender or a food processor can actually be recycled - the mass of each material and how it is joined, the ease of separation at end of life, the calculation of the recyclable and recoverable fractions, and the evidence behind the figure claimed. First edition, and it belongs with the recycled material specification GB/T 46730-2025. In force from 1 May 2026. Issued on 5 October 2025, it has been in force since 1 May 2026.

This document describes the calculation method and criteria for the recyclability rate of household power processing appliances. It specifies the evaluation value for recyclability, recyclability labeling, and requirements. This document applies to household power processing appliances (hereinafter referred to as "appliances"), excluding the packaging and packaging materials of the appliances. Examples of appliances that fall within the scope of this document are as follows:

3 Terms and Definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
