Foreword

This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for Standardization Work Part

1.Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents" drafted. This document replaces GB/T 21698-2008 "Technical Conditions for Composite Grounding Body". Compared with GB/T 21698-2008, except for structural adjustment In addition to editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows:

--- Changed the name of the standard, from "Technical Conditions for Composite Grounding Body" to "Compound Grounding Body";

--- Changed the scope of application of the standard (see Chapter 1, Chapter 1 of the.2008 edition);

--- Changed the definition of the term "composite grounding body" (see 3.1,

3.1 of the.2008 edition);

--- Delete the terms "electrolyte material (chemical filler)", "resistance reduction effect coefficient", "model coefficient" and "conductive rubber" (see the.2008 edition 3.2~3.5);

--- Added the terms "resistance-reducing composite grounding body" and "anti-corrosion composite grounding body" (see 3.2, 3.3);

1 Scope

GB/T 21698-2022 is the Chinese national standard on composite grounding conductor, in the field of construction materials and building. The /T suffix marks it as a recommended standard: it is not compulsory by itself, but it becomes binding as soon as a contract, a tender or a customer specification calls it up - which in practice is how most foreign buyers meet it. It was issued on 11 July 2022 by the State Administration for Market Regulation; Standardization Administration of China, and has been in force since 1 February 2023. Classification: ICS 91.120.40, CCS K10. 3 Terms and Definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 A grounding body composed of two or more main substances with different physical or chemical properties.

3.2 A composite grounding body that reduces the grounding resistance by improving the soil environment around the grounding body or increasing the contact area between the grounding body and the soil.

3.3 It has the characteristics of resisting the erosion of moisture, salt, acid, alkali and other factors in the operating environment, and is used to slow down the corrosion of the composite grounding body.
