GB/T 16545-2025 is the English-translated version of 金属和合金的腐蚀 腐蚀试样上腐蚀产物的清除.
After a corrosion test, specimens are covered in corrosion products, and these must be removed before the metal loss can be assessed fairly. This standard deals with removing corrosion products from corrosion test specimens of metals and alloys, so that weighing and examination reflect the condition of the underlying metal.

Foreword
GB/T 16545-2025 is a recommended national standard (GB/T) of the People's Republic of China, issued on 30 June 2025 by the State Administration for Market Regulation and the Standardization Administration of China, with effect from 1 January 2026.
This edition replaces GB/T 16545-2015.
The document adopts an international standard (ISO or IEC).
It is under the responsibility of the China Iron and Steel Association.
