1 Scope of application

This standard specifies the safety requirements for high integrity containers made of ductile iron materials (hereinafter referred to as "spheroidal graphite iron containers").

Performance requirements, testing methods and inspection rules, etc., and the model and size of the ductile iron container.

This standard applies to the design, manufacture, procurement, inspection and other activities of ductile iron containers.

Ductile iron containers can be used for waste preparation, storage, disposal and management of low and medium level radioactive solid waste management processes.

3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this standard.

3.1 high integrity container high integrity container

4.2 Special safety requirements

4.2.1 Requirements for content

4.2.1.1 The waste contained in the ductile iron container shall be low and medium level radioactive solid waste, waste meeting the final disposal requirements.

The volume of free liquid in the bag should be less than 1% of the volume of solid waste.

4.2.1.2 The contents of the ductile iron container shall also meet the requirements of GB 9132, Classification of Radioactive Waste and other relevant standards.

4.2.2 Casting material requirements

4.2.2.3 The graphite form of the casting material is mainly spherical, and the spheroidization level is not lower than the spheroidization level 3 specified in GB/T 9441.

4.2.2.4 The corrosion resistance of casting materials shall meet the requirements of Table A.3 of Appendix A.

4.2.3 Casting requirements

4.2.3.1 The thickness of ductile iron castings used in ductile iron containers shall be not less than 50 mm and not more than.200 mm.

4.2.3.2 Casting defects (such as cracks, cold partitions, shrinkage holes, slag inclusions, etc.) that affect the performance of castings are not allowed.

4.2.3.3 The types, quantities and ranges of defects allowed on the non-machined surface of the casting and inside the casting shall be in accordance with the casting of the ductile iron container.

5 Product performance requirements

5.1 Models, specifications and dimensions

5.1.1 Model, specification and size requirements

The type, specification and size of ductile iron containers should be standardized and serialized as much as possible. Recommended number of barrel and box containers

6 Test methods

6.1 Casting material performance test method

6.1.1 Sampling

The casting material performance test shall be carried out with the cast test block. The sampling source and sampling quantity are in accordance with Chapter 8 of GB/T 1348-2009.

6.1.2 Test method
6.1.2.1 Tensile test

Execute according to the provisions of GB/T 228.1.

6.1.2.2 Impact test

The impact test is carried out in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 229.

6.1.2.3 Hardness test

The hardness test is carried out in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 231.1, 231.2 and 231.3.

6.1.2.4 Metallographic test

The metallographic test is carried out in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 9441.

6.1.2.5 Corrosion resistance test

The corrosion resistance test is carried out in accordance with the provisions of Appendix A Test Method for Corrosion Resistance of Ductile Iron.

6.2 Casting inspection method

6.2.1 Geometric dimension and dimensional tolerance test
6.2.1.1 Visual measurement with a universal measuring tool with a precision of 0.5 mm.

6.2.1.2 The geometry and dimensions of the casting shall be in accordance with the provisions of the drawings.

6.2.1.3 The dimensional tolerance of castings shall be in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 6414. If there are special requirements, they can be executed according to the drawings or relevant technical requirements.

6.2.2 Surface quality inspection
6.2.2.1 The castings shall be cleaned and trimmed according to the requirements of GB/T 1348-2009.

6.2.2.2 Residual requirements for remnant, sticky sand, oxide scale and internal cavity residue of the pouring riser shall comply with the requirements of the design technical specifications.

6.2.2.3 The surface roughness of castings shall comply with the requirements of GB/T 6060.1, or meet the requirements of design drawings or product technical specifications.

6.2.3 Non-destructive testing

The non-destructive testing requirements for castings shall be carried out in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 11.4 of GB/T 1348-2009.

6.3 Container inspection method

6.3.1 Structural dimensions and visual inspection

The dimensions of the structure are measured using a universal measuring tool with an accuracy of 0.5 mm. The appearance of the container is visually inspected and should conform to the design.

6.3.2 Operational performance test

7 Inspection rules

7.1 Type test

7.1.1 The sequence of the type test of ductile iron containers shall be carried out item by item according to Table 2. Each test may be carried out on one container.

7.1.2 After the type test of the ductile iron container is qualified, the design of the type test container can be adopted and the same processing worker

7.1.3 Type test requirements

When one of the following conditions occurs in the production of ductile iron containers, a type test project shall be carried out.

a) When the new product is put into production trial production;

b) After formal production, if there are major changes in materials, structures and processes;

c) After the product has been discontinued for a long time (more than one year), when the production is resumed;

d) When there is a big difference between the factory inspection result and the type inspection result;

e) When the user request or the national nuclear safety regulatory authority proposes that type inspection is required.

7.2 Factory inspection

7.2.1 The performance of the ductile iron container product shall meet the requirements of Chapter 5, and the structural dimensions and appearance inspection of the container shall be carried out one by one.

7.2.2 After passing the inspection, work cards, material certificates, product inspection reports and containers shall be issued for each ductile iron container.

8.1 The outer surface marking of the ductile iron container shall comply with the provisions of GB 12711 regarding radioactive signs and labels.

8.2 The manufacturer or code, date of manufacture and batch number shall be identified on the outer surface of the ductile iron container.

8.3 The marking of ductile iron containers shall be conspicuous, clear and durable and shall not impair the performance of the container.

9 Storage and transportation of products

9.1 Product storage

9.1.1 Ductile iron containers should be stored on the foundation of the foundation. It should be placed vertically. The height of the stack should not exceed 6 layers.

9.1.2 Ductile iron containers shall be protected from chemical attack, harsh weather and external forces during storage.

9.2 Product Transportation

Method for detecting corrosion resistance of ductile iron

A1 Scope

The method provides spheroidal cast iron corrosion test equipment for spheroidal graphite cast iron high integrity container, sample preparation and requirements, test

The method is applicable to the determination of the corrosion rate of nodular cast iron in simulated acidic aqueous solution and simulated soil addition aqueous solution.

A2 test equipment

A 2.1 constant temperature water bath

A5 test procedure
