Introduction

Formulating high-quality standardization documents is one of the contents of standardization activities. In order to ensure the effectiveness of standardization activities, my country has established and continue to improve the basic national standard system that supports standard formulation. In this standard system, GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Engineering the "Guidelines for the preparation of standards, Part 1: Structure and rules for drafting standardization documents" is a national standard that establishes general rules applicable to the drafting of various standards.

However, for the drafting of specific standardization documents, it is necessary to establish more targeted specific rules to form a combination of general rules and specific rules.

A comprehensive system of rules to promote the formation of high-quality standardized documents.

GB/T 20001 is a document compiled to establish specific rules.

Standards are divided into different functional types or object categories. Standards for different functional types and object categories need to be established and drafted separately.

Therefore, GB/T 20001 is divided into two groups. the first group before Part 10 is to establish drafting rules for standards of different functional types.

The first part of this part applies not only to the drafting of terms in terminology standards, but also to the drafting of terms in non-terminology standards.

The terms and definitions section of the Drafting rules for standard establishment of different categories of objects.

In order to fully reflect the functions of the standard when drafting the standard, the first set of documents in GB/T 20001 will accurately define the functions of each type of standard.

The drafting rules that need to be followed are planned to consist of 8 parts.

--- Part 1: Terminology. The purpose is to establish the general principles and requirements applicable to the drafting of terminology items in standardization documents.

--- Part 2: Symbol standards. The purpose is to establish the general principles and relevant rules that need to be followed when drafting symbol standards.

--- Part 3: Classification criteria. The purpose is to establish the general principles and relevant rules that need to be followed when drafting classification criteria.

--- Part 4: Test method standards. The purpose is to establish the general principles and relevant rule.

--- Part 5: Norms and standards. The purpose is to establish the general principles and relevant rules that need to be followed in drafting normative standards.

--- Part 6: Procedure standards. The purpose is to establish the general principles and relevant rules that need to be followed in drafting procedure standards.

--- Part 7: Guidance Standards. The purpose is to establish the general principles and relevant rules that need to be followed in drafting guidance standards.

--- Part 8: Evaluation criteria. The purpose is to establish rules for drafting standards that specify a quantifiable evaluation indicator system so that Valuing products, processes, services or systems and producing more comprehensive results.

This revision of GB/T 20001.1 focuses on the drafting requirements of terminology items in all standardization documents, and establishes the terminology items and the organization and structure of data categories, the content of terminology entries and drafting requirements, by establishing more detailed terminology drafting requirements, allow document drafters to when drafting the terms in various standardization documents, there is a basis for reference, thereby improving the standardization of terms, improving the quality of standardization documents, and effectively Promoting the integration of standard texts and informatization is of great significance to ensuring the healthy, sustainable development and long-term effective utilization of my country's terminology resources.
