1 Scope

GB/T 33450-2025 is the Chinese national standard covering turning a research result into a standard - judging whether the work is mature and reproducible enough, the intellectual property that has to be cleared first, the choice of standard type and level, and the drafting and validation that follow. Issued on 5 October 2025, it has been in force since 1 February 2026, replacing GB/T 33450-2016.

This document provides a needs analysis, feasibility analysis, feasibility assessment, and determination of standard types and content for the transformation of scientific and technological achievements into standards. Guidance in this regard. This document applies to activities that develop standards based on scientific and technological achievements.

3 Terms and Definitions
