GB/T 19472.2-2017 covers polyethylene spirally enwound structure-wall pipes and fittings for underground drainage, sewerage and similar works where the long-term operating temperature is below 45 °C. The pipes are wound from PE resin with a polyolefin auxiliary support structure.

It sets raw material requirements, classification by nominal ring stiffness in six grades and by structure type A, B or C, and the connection methods.

Requirements cover colour, appearance, dimensions and physical and mechanical properties, and the test methods include longitudinal reversion, oven test, ash, oxidation induction time, impact and the sealing and weld strength of joints.

It also gives inspection rules, marking, transport and storage. It replaces GB/T 19472.2-2004, was issued on 29 December 2017 and has applied since 1 July 2018.
