Scope

GB/T 18342-2018 is the English-translated version of 商品煤质量链条炉用煤.

GB/T 18342-2018 is the Chinese commercial coal standard for the coal burnt in travelling grate (chain grate) boilers.

It sets the quality grades and the technical requirements - calorific value, ash, volatile matter, total sulfur, moisture, ash fusibility and size - the test methods that prove them, the inspection rules and the provisions on marking, transport and storage.

It applies to such coal through production, processing, storage, transport, sale and use, and it is one of the standards used to keep boiler emissions within the limits.

Mines, traders and boiler operators use it. It replaces GB/T 18342-2009, was issued on 14 May 2018 and has applied since 1 December 2018.

Foreword

This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

This standard replaces GB/T 18342-2009 "Technical Conditions for Coal for Chain Grate Boilers". This standard is in line with GB/T 18342-2009 The main technical content changes are as follows.

--- The standard name was changed to "commercial coal quality chain furnace coal";

--- The scope was revised to "quality grade and technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, identification, transportation and storage of coal products for chain furnaces";

--- Increased the division of coal products for chain furnaces, according to the calorific value and the total sulfur index for quality classification, to "varietal heat, etc.

Formal representation of the grade of total sulfur;

--- Added Appendix A "Product Catalog".

1 Scope

This standard specifies the quality grade and technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, transportation and storage of coal products for chain furnaces.

This standard is applicable to chain furnace coal used in production, processing, storage, transportation, sales and use.

3 Product quality level and technical requirements

3.1 General

The chain furnace coal is divided into two types of lump coal and coal blending.
