Foreword

GB/T 16900 series of standards is one of the national "rules of graphical symbols." The national standards for structure and names are as follows:

a) GB/T 16900 "General Rules of graphical symbols."

b) GB/T 16901 "technical document indicates that the rule of graphical symbols", divided into three sections.

--- Part 2. Test procedure. This standard replaces GB/T 16900-1997 "General Rules of graphical symbols," compared with the GB/T 16900-1997 major changes as follows:

1 Scope

GB/T 16900-2008 is the Chinese national standard on rules for the presentation of graphical symbols - general principles, in the field of generalities, terminology and documentation. The /T suffix marks it as a recommended standard: it is not compulsory by itself, but it becomes binding as soon as a contract, a tender or a customer specification calls it up - which in practice is how most foreign buyers meet it. It was issued on 16 July 2008 by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China; Standardization Administration of China, and has been in force since 1 January 2009. Classification: ICS 01.080.01, CCS A22. This standard specifies the classification of graphic symbols, standardized procedures, represents the basic requirements of the rules, requirements and design registration and so on.
