Foreword
GB/T 16902 is "graphic symbols that rule" series of one of the national standards. The structure and name of the series of national standards are as follows:
a) GB/T 16900 "graphical symbols that rule rules."
b) GB/T 16901 "technical documents using graphical symbols that rule" is divided into the following three parts.
--- Part 1. Basic rules;
--- Part 2. Graphical symbols (including the reference symbol library graphic symbols) computer electronic file format specification and its intersection Change request
--- Part 3. Connection points, network classification and coding.
c) GB/T 16902 "Equipment with graphical symbols that rule", is divided into the following five sections.
--- Part 1. Symbols original design principles;
--- Part 2. The form and use of arrows;
--- Part 3. Application Guidelines;
--- Part 4. Graphical symbols used as icons to redraw guidelines;
--- Part 5. Icon Design Guide.
d) GB/T 16903 "signs with graphical symbols that rule", is divided into the following three parts.

GB/T 16902 defines the role of this part of the icon and classification, given the icon design process, the basic design principles and design guide. This section applies to the design of the icons presented and used through the device screen.

3 Terms and definitions
GB/T 15565 defined and the following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1 Icon icon Interactive symbols that represent the functions of computer system objects and/or applications on the device screen. [Revised GB/T 15565.1-2008, definition 2.5.13.3]
Note. The icon is a type of graphic symbol used on the device.
3.2 Icon family iconfamily A set of icons with the same base icons and different add-ons.
3.3 Discriminability discriminability The degree to which an icon is easily distinguishable from other icons that may appear in its immediate vicinity or in a similar environment.
3.4 Recognizable recognisability The ease with which a new icon is identified based on the recognition experience of previous same or similar icons.
