GB/T 37113.1-2018 is the English-translated version of 城市客运标志第1部分：总则.

GB/T 37113.1-2018 is the general part of the Chinese standard on urban passenger transport signs, followed by Part 2 for buses and Part 3 for urban rail transit.

It gives the general requirements for these signs and sets out their classification, their type design, how they are set up along passenger routes, and how they are produced and maintained.

It defines terms such as location sign and directional sign, and draws on the national standards for safety signs, public information graphic symbols, guidance systems, road traffic signs and fire safety signs.

It applies to signs in urban passenger transport facilities and places such as urban bus and trolleybus services, urban rail transit and passenger hubs. An informative annex illustrates sign settings. It was issued on 28 December 2018 and has applied since 1 July 2019.

Foreword

GB/T 37113 "City Passenger Transport Logo" is divided into three parts.

--- Part 1. General;

--- Part 2. Public steam cars;

--- Part 3. Urban rail transit.

This part is the first part of GB/T 37113.

This part is drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

1 Scope

This part of GB/T 37113 specifies the classification, type design, marking setup and production and maintenance requirements of urban passenger transport signs.

This part is applicable to passengers in urban passenger transportation service facilities and places such as urban public steam and electric vehicles, urban rail transit, passenger transportation hubs. Transport sign.

3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions as defined in GB/T 15565.2 and GB 2894 apply to this document.

3.1 Location sign

Formed by graphic signs and/or text marks to indicate the public information graphic mark of the location of the facility and service functions. [GB/T 15565.2-2008, definition 3.2.1]

3.2 Directional sign

Formed by a combination of graphical signs and/or textual signs and arrow symbols to indicate public information graphics to the intended destination route
