Scope
GB/T 14095-2007 is the English-translated version of 农产品干燥技术 术语.
GB/T 14095-2007 is the Chinese national terminology standard for the drying of agricultural products, giving each term in Chinese with its English equivalent and definition.
It defines the terms for drying processes and methods (heating modes, temperature regimes, flow arrangements, microwave, infrared, solar, freeze, heat pump and fluidized drying), for the types of dryer, for dryer components such as furnaces, heat exchangers, ducts, flights and cyclones, and for dryer operating parameters and technical indicators.
It is intended to unify the terminology used in technical exchanges, textbooks, technical books, papers and reports on agricultural drying.
It replaces GB/T 14095-1993: the title has been changed, terms such as impinging stream drying, vibrated and pulsed fluidized drying, batch-type recirculation, continuous-flow, cross-flow and mixed-flow dryers, drying cycle and throughput have been added, several names and definitions have been revised, and the column and tower dryer entries have been deleted.

Foreword
This standard is a revision of GB/T 14095-1993, Drying technology of agricultural materials - Terminology.
Compared with GB/T 14095-1993, the main changes in this standard are as follows:
- the title of the standard has been changed to Drying technology of agricultural products - Terminology;
- the terms impinging stream drying, vibrated fluidized drying, pulsed fluidized drying, continuous-flow dryer, batch-type recirculating dryer, concurrent-flow dryer, cross-flow dryer, counter-flow dryer, mixed-flow dryer, drying cycle, throughput and others have been added;
- the names of hot-air drying, flash drying and total specific energy consumption have been changed, and the definitions of direct heating, far-infrared dryer, inverted V air duct, moisture reduction, drying rate and drying non-uniformity have been modified;
- the terms column dryer and tower dryer have been deleted.
This standard replaces GB/T 14095-1993 from the date of its implementation.

This standard is under the jurisdiction of the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Agricultural Machinery.
