Foreword

This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents".

This document is Part 1 of GB/T 1406 "Types and Dimensions of Lamp Holders". GB/T 1406 has already published the following parts.

---Part 1: Screw-type lamp holders;

---Part 2: Plug-in Lamp Holder;

---Part 3: Prefocused Lamp Holder;

---Part 4: Miscellaneous Lamp Holders;

---Part 5: Bayonet-type lamp holders.

This document supersedes GB/T 1406.1-2008 "Types and dimensions of lamp holders - Part 1: Screw-type lamp holders", and is consistent with GB/T 1406.1-Compared to 2008, aside from structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.

---The technical details of lamp holders for models E14, E17, E26, E27, E39, and E40 have been changed (see Chapter 4, 2008 edition).

This document is modified to adopt IEC 60061-1:2005 "Lamp holders, lamp bases and gauges for testing their safety and interchangeability - Part 1: Lamp holders".

Compared with IEC 60061-1:2005, this document has undergone the following structural adjustments.

---Added Chapter 1 "Scope", Chapter 2 "Normative References" and Chapter 3 "Terms and Definitions".

The technical differences between this document and IEC 60061-1:2005, and the reasons therefor, are as follows.

This document retains only the type and size requirements for screw-type lamp holders in IEC 60061-1:2005, and has removed other types of lamp holders.

The type and size requirements shall be in accordance with the structural design of the sub-sections of GB/T 1406;

---Removed "inches, etc." from the E26d lamp holder, E26/50×39 and E26/51×39 screw-in lamp holders with skirts, and E27 lamp holder loose-fitting pages.

The "Effect Value" data table (see Chapter 4) is designed to conform to usage habits in my country.

The following editorial changes have been made to this document.

---To align with existing standards, the standard title has been changed to "Types and Dimensions of Lamp Holders Part 1: Screw-in Lamp Holders";

---Includes IEC 60061-1:1969/AMD48.2012, IEC 60061-1:1969/AMD52.2015, IEC 60061-1.

Repairs to 1969/AMD56.2017, IEC 60061-1:1969/AMD59.2019, and IEC 60061-1:1969/AMD62.2022 Positive content;

---The lamp holder parameter leaflet number has been changed to include the national standard number before the IEC leaflet number;

---Added a table of lamp holder models, names, loose-leaf numbers, and page numbers.

The model of the lamp holder should conform to the provisions of GB/T 21098.
