Scope
GB/T 31111-2014 is the English-translated version of 反射型自镇流LED灯规格分类.
China's national classification standard for self-ballasted LED reflector lamps. It specifies the specification classification of the reflector-type self-ballasted LED lamps used to replace halogen PAR lamps, and it applies to lamps for directional lighting in domestic, commercial and similar applications in which the driver is integrated into the lamp. Its range is lamps rated at 220 V, 50 Hz alternating current, with caps conforming to GB/T 1406.1, GB/T 1406.2 or GB/T 1406.5. The problem it solves is a retrofit problem. A reflector lamp is bought to fit an existing luminaire and to produce a beam of a particular width in a particular direction, and the halogen PAR lamps it replaces had a well-understood set of designations that described exactly that: a diameter in eighths of an inch, a beam angle, a cap type and an overall length. When LED replacements appeared, that vocabulary broke down. A lamp described as a PAR30 equivalent might not physically fit a PAR30 fitting, might have a very different beam, and might be longer than the recess it had to sit in. This standard restores the correspondence by classifying LED reflector lamps into defined specifications - the envelope shape and dimensions, the cap, the maximum overall dimensions, and the beam characteristics - so that a lamp of a given classification is a genuine substitute for the halogen lamp it names. It is deliberately a classification rather than a performance standard: the electrical safety and photometric performance requirements live in other documents, and this one exists so that a buyer can be certain the lamp will fit and light the same area. Issued on 3 September 2014 and in force since 1 August 2015.

This standard specifies the reflective self-ballasted used to replace halogen lamps PAR series of LED lights specifications classification. This standard applies to the domestic, commercial and similar occasions as directional lighting, the stable ignition components integrated as one of the reflective self-ballasted LED lights. Scope is as follows:
--- Rated voltage AC220V50Hz;
--- In line with GB/T 1406.1, GB/T 1406.2 or GB/T 1406.5 requirements of the lamp.
Note. The "light" represents that appears in this standard "reflective self-ballasted LED lights," unless otherwise specified other types of lamps.
