Foreword

This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents".

This document is Part 5 of GB/T 1406 "Types and Dimensions of Lamp Holders". GB/T 1406 has already published the following parts.

---Part 1: Screw-type lamp holders;

---Part 2: Plug-in Lamp Holder;

---Part 3: Prefocused Lamp Holder;

---Part 4: Miscellaneous Lamp Holders;

---Part 5: Bayonet-type lamp holders.

This document supersedes GB/T 1406.5-2008 "Types and Dimensions of Lamp Holders - Part 5: Bayonet Lamp Holders" and is consistent with GB/T 1406.5-Compared to 2008, aside from structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.

---Added models BAU9s, BAUZ9s, BAW9s, BAZ9s, BA15-3(110°), BAU15-3(110°), and BAW15-3 Technical details of the (110°), BAY15-3 (110°), and BAZ15-3 (110°) lamp holders (see Chapter 4);

---The technical details of the lamp holders for models BA9, BA15, BAX15d, BAY15, BA15s-3 (100°/130°), and BAU15 have been modified.

This document is modified to adopt IEC 60061-1:2005 "Lamp holders, lamp bases and related gauges for the inspection of their safety and interchangeability - Part 1.

Lamp holder.

Compared with IEC 60061-1:2005, this document has undergone the following structural adjustments.

---Added Chapter 1 "Scope", Chapter 2 "Normative References" and Chapter 3 "Terms and Definitions".

This document retains only the type and size requirements for bayonet-type lamp holders in IEC 60061-1:2005, and has removed other types of lamp holders.

The type and size requirements shall be in accordance with the structural design of the sub-sections of GB/T 1406;

---The normative references GB/T 21098 and GB/T 1483.5 (see Chapter 4) have been added to comply with my country's standard drafting regulations.

The following editorial changes have been made to this document.

---To align with existing standards, the standard title has been changed to "Types and Dimensions of Lamp Holders - Part 5: Bayonet Lamp Holders";

---Includes IEC 60061-1:1969/AMD38.2006, IEC 60061-1:1969/AMD42.2009, IEC 60061-1.

1969/AMD43.2010, IEC 60061-1:1969/AMD51.2014, IEC 60061-1:1969/AMD55.2016, Amendments to IEC 60061-1:1969/AMD57.2017 and IEC 60061-1:1969/AMD60.2020;

Introduction

As an important part of lamp accessories, interchangeability and safety are fundamental requirements for ensuring safe production of lamp holders. GB/T 1406 "Lamp Holders" the "Type and Size of Lamp Heads" aims to standardize the type and size of lamp heads, and proposes to consist of five parts.

---Part 1: Screw-in Lamp Holders. The purpose is to specify the types, basic dimensions, and inspection methods for screw-in lamp holders.

---Part 2: Plug-in Lamp Holders. The purpose is to specify the types, basic dimensions, and inspection methods for plug-in lamp holders.

---Part 3: Prefocused Lamp Holders. The purpose is to specify the types, basic dimensions, and inspection methods for prefocused lamp holders.

---Part 4: Miscellaneous Lamp Holders. The purpose is to specify the types, basic dimensions, and inspection methods for miscellaneous lamp holders.

---Part 5: Bayonet Lamp Holders. The purpose is to specify the types, basic dimensions, and inspection methods for bayonet lamp holders.

GB/T 1406.5-2008 has been published for over ten years, and the types and sizes of lamp holders specified in it are no longer compatible with the current interchangeability and safety of lamp holders.

Sexual requirements. This revision updates the technical requirements for the type and size of bayonet-type lamp holders, and adds size requirements for various different lamp holder models.

Improving product safety and quality, standardizing the market, and enhancing the competitiveness of Chinese products are all of great importance.

4 Requirements for the type and size of the lamp holder

The model of the lamp holder should conform to the provisions of GB/T 21098.
